CONNECT WITH LUMINYS
LumiPower
Extends power and data up to 3,000 feet without repeaters
LumiPower technology enables Power over Ethernet transmission and data delivery up to 3,000 feet without requiring repeaters or additional power sources. Ideal for expansive security infrastructure, LumiPower ensures consistent connectivity and dependable power management.
Streamlined
Installations
Simplifies the installation process by reducing the amount of labor and materials required.
Optimal Device
Placement
Enhances network performance by allowing devices to be placed in the most effective locations.
Higher Cost
Efficiency
Reduces overall costs by eliminating the need for additional power infrastructure.
LumiPower Features
Long-Distance Connectivity
Connect to, power, and transmit data to devices up to 3,000 feet away from the switch.
PoE and PoE+ Support
Supports network cameras, including PTZs, and has backwards compatability.
Remote Power Management
Restart or power devices remotely from NVRs or network switches.
Example of LumiPower Using Network Camera and NVR:
LumiPower is available on ports 1 to 8 on R5 NVR Models (R52-8PA, R52-16PA, R54-32PA)
NOTE: LumiPower requires the use of a LumiPower-enabled switch or NVR port and LumiPower-enabled cameras.
Technical:
Power Capacity:
IEEE 802.3af (PoE) up to 15.4 watts, uses two pairs of wires for power.
IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) up to 25.5 watts, uses all four pairs of wires for power.
IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) up to 90 watts, uses all four pairs of wires for power.
Device Support:
IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) and IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) is suitable for devices with higher power
requirements, like PTZ cameras and advanced wireless access points.
Backward Compatibility:
IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) is backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af (PoE) devices, meaning you can
use IEEE 802.3at switches to power IEEE 802.3af devices. IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) is backward
compatible to IEEE 802.3at (PoE+).
